This year, the on-site mayor’s office has attracted great interest from residents with the ‘1:300 Policy Promotion Quiz’ where the mayor and residents participate together. Mayor Lee Seung-ro directly poses quizzes, and residents solve them to enhance their understanding of local policies.

For residents who find it difficult to attend in person, a ‘resident proposal system via video call’ has also been established, receiving great response. Through the video call function, residents can communicate directly with the mayor and propose their opinions, allowing participation in local governance without restrictions of time and place, which has been highly appreciated by residents.

One resident, who was unable to visit in person due to caring for a sick mother, requested the installation of a streetlight in front of their house through the video call resident proposal system, resulting in a new streetlight being installed on the previously dark road.

Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, “I feel great fulfillment in being able to directly listen to the valuable opinions of residents through the on-site mayor’s office and improve our local administration based on them,” adding, “During the remaining sessions, I will listen carefully to residents’ voices and actively reflect them to create practical changes.”

The Seongbuk-gu on-site mayor’s office is broadcast live through YouTube’s ‘SeongbukTV,’ allowing any interested resident to watch.
