Suwon City Delivers Citizen Farm Rice and More to Young Caregivers and Others

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi delivered rice produced at Tapdong Citizen Farm and other items to facilities for single mothers within the district.


On the 6th and 7th, Suwon City announced on the 8th that it had delivered safe agricultural products such as eco-friendly rice and sweet potatoes harvested from Tapdong Citizen Farm, as well as apples harvested from Homaesil Fruit Park, to youth, homeless, and single mother facilities within the district.

Suwon City explained that this event was held to share safe food from urban agriculture with socially vulnerable groups, realize the multifaceted value of urban agriculture, and expand its public interest role.


On that day, Suwon City distributed a total of 492kg of safe food, including 182kg of rice, 70kg of sweet potatoes, and 240kg of apples, to 11 households headed by young caregivers, one homeless shelter, and one single mother facility within the district.
