Announcement of Joint Demands for Innovation in Samsung Group Organizational Culture
The Samsung Group Labor Union Solidarity (hereinafter Samsung Solidarity), consisting of 11 labor unions from Samsung affiliates under the National Metalworkers' Union Federation, held a press conference on the 7th at the National Assembly Communication Hall titled "Improvement of Samsung Group Organizational Culture," urging Chairman Lee Jae-yong to "establish a super-gap DNA for each affiliate so that professional managers can independently manage with responsibility."

Samsung Solidarity pointed out that "Samsung Electronics executives and senior officials from the Business Support TF have continuously been dispatched to each affiliate under the pretext of injecting Samsung Electronics' excellent DNA."
To improve such a vertical and closed organizational culture and personnel practices, Samsung Solidarity presented demands including ▲ direct communication from Chairman Lee Jae-yong ▲ self-selection of management with expertise suitable for each affiliate ▲ improvement of wage, personnel, and evaluation systems through a labor-management joint TF.
Samsung Solidarity is the largest union within Samsung, united by the labor unions of Samsung Display, Samsung SDI Ulsan, National Samsung Electronics Service, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Life Service, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Anycar Claims Adjustment, Samsung Card Customer Service, Samsung Welstory, Samsung S-1 Participation, and Samsung E&A &U (ENU). The National Samsung Electronics Union withdrew two years ago.
