A husband was shocked to discover that his wife, who had proposed a fake divorce, was actually having an affair while working at a nightlife establishment.
On the 5th, JTBC's Incident Commander introduced this story reported by a husband in his 40s, Mr. A. Mr. A said, "While dating my wife, considering our age and her pregnancy, we hurried to get married. When I first visited my in-laws, my prospective mother-in-law, under the influence of alcohol, said, 'Our daughter is not a first marriage, so please take good care of her.' I didn't know it was a remarriage, but since it was in the past and there was a child on the way, I forgave my wife and got married," he began.
The couple's conflicts began when they lived as a weekend couple. While Mr. A was away from home, his wife got involved in a multi-level marketing scheme. She took out loans to buy luxury bags and imported cars. As she accumulated unmanageable debt, she instead demanded, "You are the head of the family, so you have to find a way to solve this." Eventually, Mr. A worked as a substitute driver after work and at a delivery logistics center on weekends, bearing the debt alone.
When the debt became unbearable, the wife proposed a 'fake divorce.' Mr. A refused, and after that, he lost contact with his wife. When he raided the house, only their young daughter was watching TV alone, and the wife was not there. It turned out that the wife was working at a nightlife establishment on weekdays. She insisted, "A fake divorce is the only answer. That way, we can receive government subsidies and our daughter can live." Reluctantly, Mr. A agreed to the fake divorce and signed a written pledge stating that "there is no change in our marital relationship."
However, recently, Mr. A went to the zoo with his daughter and heard a shocking story. His daughter said, "Dad, don't you have a lover? Mom has a lover. There is an uncle who came home drunk and slept in bed with mom." Enraged, Mr. A immediately confronted his wife, asking, "Are you cheating?" The wife shamelessly replied, "He's a man I met after the divorce; how is this cheating?"
Unable to tolerate it any longer, Mr. A said he would file a lawsuit against the third party. Then, the third party called Mr. A and cursed, saying, "Stay away from my woman." Despite the verbal abuse, Mr. A questioned the third party to find out when the affair began. As a result, he learned that his wife had been having an affair with the third party even before proposing the fake divorce.

Mr. A said, "Right now, I am most worried about my daughter. I heard that the third party is practically living in our house like a cohabitant. He is 10 years younger than my wife and frequently visits nightlife establishments. Hearing that my young daughter is not properly protected by her mother and is with the third party makes my blood boil," he expressed his anger. He added, "I know that the fake divorce was a huge mistake. I want to file a lawsuit for the wife's affair and, even now, bring my daughter to raise her."
In response, lawyer Yang Ji-yeol said, "You can file a lawsuit to cancel the divorce. Regarding custody, it is not important whether the parents committed misconduct, but rather, from the daughter's perspective, who would provide a better environment for her welfare. Economic capability must also be considered, and since Mr. A appears to have a job, there is a good chance he can regain custody."
Lawyer Park Ji-hoon judged that the daughter witnessing her mother's affair "could strictly be considered child abuse." At the same time, he stated, "If the fake divorce was intended from the beginning, it should be considered invalid. A lawsuit against the third party is also possible, and Mr. A should gain custody."
