Naver announced on the 7th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with OKPOS for 'platform-based cooperation to improve the operational efficiency of offline business stores.'
OKPOS is the number one provider in Korea, offering POS solutions to over 260,000 franchise stores nationwide. It provides various solutions and services necessary for offline business operators to run their stores more conveniently, including kiosks, QR ordering, and sales management apps.
Through this agreement, Naver and OKPOS plan to combine their platform technology and service expertise to pursue various cooperation initiatives.
They will support offline business operators in managing their stores conveniently by using the SmartPlace and OKPOS platforms. Additionally, they intend to explore ways to enhance the convenience of Naver Local Search, so users can check the latest and most accurate information on recommended stores when exploring places to visit on Naver.
Lee Sang-cheol, head of Naver Place Business Division, said, "SmartPlace has continuously advanced its technology to enable offline business operators to manage their stores more conveniently using online platforms and connect with potential customers." He added, "Through this collaboration, we expect business operators to establish a more efficient sales environment both online and offline."
