Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, to Depart on the 8th for BIS Meeting Attendance

On the 7th, the Bank of Korea announced that Governor Lee Chang-yong will depart on the 8th to attend the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Governors' meeting held in Basel, Switzerland.

During this schedule, Governor Lee plans to attend the global economic conference and the plenary governors' meeting to discuss the recent global economic and financial market conditions with governors of member central banks.


Additionally, as the Chair of the Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS), he will preside over discussions on global financial issues among major central bank officials and attend the BIS Board of Directors and Economic Consultative Committee meetings in his capacity as a BIS director.


On the 12th, at the invitation of the President of the Deutsche Bundesbank, he will attend the Executive Committee meeting to discuss recent trends in the international financial market and exchange views on global supply chain issues with Deutsche Bundesbank experts in a separate meeting.


He also plans to attend a meeting jointly hosted by the Deutsche Bundesbank, the Bank of Korea Frankfurt Office, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Frankfurt, held in Frankfurt.


Governor Lee is scheduled to return on the 13th after completing his itinerary.
