DL E&C Builds Integrated CCTV Control System... Expands Recruitment of Control Personnel

Integrated CCTV Viewer System by Site
Enables Fast Search and Sharing of Video Data

DL E&C announced on the 7th that it has established an integrated CCTV monitoring VMS (Video Management System) to strengthen the management of safety blind spots at construction sites.

The integrated monitoring VMS features the consolidation of previously separate CCTV viewer systems to improve monitoring efficiency and is linked with an integrated smart safety monitoring platform to intensively monitor high-risk work activities.

Previously, CCTV monitoring involved different CCTV viewers used at each site, requiring the use of multiple systems individually, which was cumbersome. Each system had different functions, causing confusion in operation and inconvenience when zooming in or sharing screens.

The integrated VMS established by DL E&C allows all sites to be viewed at a glance through a single viewer via the unified system. All video data is consolidated into one system, enabling quick search and sharing of footage from specific areas and times. The integrated control room display has also been upgraded to simultaneously broadcast about 200 screens, which can be freely enlarged in various sizes.

Since last September, DL E&C has been developing and implementing an integrated smart safety monitoring platform that links smart safety devices for site safety management, work instructions, and access control. The newly developed CCTV monitoring VMS is also connected to this integrated platform. Monitoring personnel can check high-risk work zones and worker locations in real time by site.

DL E&C is also expanding the recruitment of CCTV monitoring personnel. This year, to increase employment of persons with disabilities and prevent site safety accidents, DL E&C is cooperating with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled to hire CCTV monitoring staff. The hired persons with disabilities monitor safety deficiencies at sites in real time via CCTV from their homes and report any unusual findings to the company’s integrated control center. Currently, 26 monitoring personnel are active.

A DL E&C official stated, "To minimize safety blind spots at sites, we are conducting various improvement activities this year, including operating CCTV monitoring personnel and establishing the integrated VMS. We will continue to improve the CCTV monitoring system and expand the recruitment of monitoring personnel to ensure thorough prevention of safety accidents."
