Operating 3 Times a Week... Increasing to 4 Times a Week Starting Next Year
Asiana Airlines is resuming flights on the Incheon~Japan Kumamoto route after 8 years and 7 months.
Asiana Airlines announced on the 7th that it will start operating the Kumamoto route three times a week. From January 13 next year, the frequency will be increased to four times a week.
It has been 8 years and 7 months since Asiana Airlines last operated the Incheon~Kumamoto route in April 2016. To commemorate this, a photo zone was set up at the departure gate, and an on-site event was held where all passengers received Kumamoto-related prizes.
Additionally, until the 30th of this month, a 5% discount coupon will be given for some economy class tickets on Japanese routes departing from Incheon and Gimpo, including the Kumamoto route. The discount coupon can only be used by Asiana Club members when purchasing through the Asiana Airlines website or mobile application (app). The discount coupon can be downloaded from the Asiana Airlines website, where the boarding period and eligible routes can also be checked.
Asiana Airlines also plans to launch a new regular service on the Asahikawa route, one of Japan's representative winter tourist destinations, four times a week starting from the 19th of next month.
Im Seon-jin, Head of Passenger Division at Asiana Airlines, said, "With the resumption of this flight, we expect travel convenience to increase for customers visiting Kumamoto, famous for Mount Aso and Kurokawa Onsen, during the winter season. We also hope that the positive cooperative relationship with Kumamoto Prefecture will continue."
