Gwanak-gu Issues Final 8 Billion Won of ‘Gwanak Love Gift Certificates (5% Discount)’ This Year

November 8th, 10 AM Launch: Available for Purchase on ‘Seoulpay+’ App
5% Discounted Price, 500,000 KRW Limit per Person... Issuance Scale of 8 Billion KRW

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will issue an additional 8 billion KRW worth of Gwanak Love Gift Certificates starting from 10 a.m. on the 8th.


The Gwanak Love Gift Certificates have been issued to alleviate the price burden on residents amid the recent difficult economic conditions and to promote consumption and revitalize local businesses within the district.


In particular, this time, Gwanak-gu is fully covering the required budget to push forward the last issuance of gift certificates for 2024, launching an all-out effort to revive the local economy.


Residents who wish to purchase can buy the mobile gift certificates in units of 10,000 KRW at a 5% discount. However, the purchase limit is 500,000 KRW per person, and the holding limit is up to 1,500,000 KRW.


Purchases can be canceled at any time regardless of the period, and for balance refunds, if more than 60% of the gift certificate has been used, the remaining balance excluding the 5% discount support fund will be refunded.

The Gwanak Love Gift Certificates can be used at 10,587 affiliated stores within the district, and purchases and payments can be made through the ‘Seoulpay+’ app.


Since 2020, the district has issued a total of 186.9 billion KRW worth of Gwanak Love Gift Certificates. From September last year to the first half of this year, to revive the depressed commercial area near Sillim Station, a special issuance of 12 billion KRW worth of Sillim Station Commercial Area Recovery Gift Certificates was made with a discount rate of 10-20%.


Additionally, the district has issued special gift certificates worth 11.9 billion KRW, including Commercial Area Recovery Special Support Gift Certificates and e-Seoul Love Gift Certificates, totaling 210.8 billion KRW in various local currencies to revitalize the depressed neighborhood businesses.


Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “Thanks to the great interest and response from residents and small business owners, the purchase and payment of Gwanak Love Gift Certificates have been active, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.” He added, “Please do not miss the last issuance of the Gwanak Love Gift Certificates this year, and we hope it will be an opportunity to further energize the local commercial areas.”
