Busan Childcare Workers' Harmony Festival... '22nd Childcare Workers' Unity Competition' Held The 22nd Childcare Workers Unity Festival Pamphlet.

Marking its 22nd year, the "2024 Busan Childcare Workers Unity Festival" was organized to encourage the hard work of childcare teachers doing their best at daycare centers amid the prolonged low birthrate, and to promote pride and harmony among childcare workers for a "Busan that is good for raising children."

The event is hosted by the Busan Metropolitan City Daycare Center Association (President Park Gi-nam) and supported by the city.

About 2,000 people, including Mayor Park Hyung-joon and childcare workers from Busan, will attend the event, which will feature ▲a welcome address, encouragement and congratulatory speeches ▲awards for outstanding childcare service ▲reading of the Childcare Workers' Code of Ethics ▲and celebratory performances.

The program will begin with a pre-ceremony event, followed by the welcome address and encouragement speech by Mayor Park. Congratulatory speeches from various figures, including National Assembly members Park Soo-young, Baek Jong-heon, and Jung Dong-man, will follow.

Afterwards, awards for outstanding childcare service (including Mayor’s Award, City Council Chairman’s Award, Superintendent of Education’s Award, etc.) will be presented. A representative teacher will read the Childcare Workers' Code of Ethics, followed by invited celebratory performances.

Mayor Park Hyung-joon is expected to say, “I thank all childcare workers who are doing their best for the happiness of Busan’s future generation of children. We will listen to the voices from the childcare field and work together to promote our city’s policy tasks, such as ‘Cherishing Like You Do’ and the integration of kindergarten and daycare services, which are current challenges.”
