Jungnang-gu Signs Friendship Exchange Agreement with Muan-gun on the 6th
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) signed a friendship exchange agreement with Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, for mutual development at Jungnang-gu Office on the 6th.
This agreement was promoted to establish a cooperative system between Jungnang-gu and Muan-gun, sharing regional resources each possesses to lay the foundation for mutual development.
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of about 20 people, including Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, Kim San, Governor of Muan-gun, Choi Kyung-bo, Chairman of Jungnang-gu Council, Lee Ho-sung, Chairman of Muan-gun Council, and Kim Kwan-wook, President of the Jungnang-gu Muan Hometown Association, along with heads and department chiefs of both cities.
Following the ceremony, the officials visited Mangwoo History and Culture Park, a major landmark of the district, and paid respects at the tomb of Yu Gwan-sun.

The main contents of the agreement include ▲ cultural and artistic exchanges ▲ linkage of regional tourism resources ▲ promotion of excellent agricultural and specialty products ▲ expansion of exchanges at the private sector level.
In particular, they plan to actively utilize distinctive regional resources such as Mangwoo History and Culture Park in Jungnang-gu and Hwangto Getbol Land in Muan-gun to strengthen cooperation in the private sector, including youth exchange programs.
Additionally, various projects such as promoting excellent agricultural and specialty products and expanding exchanges at the private sector level are scheduled to be implemented.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We expect to achieve mutual development in various fields such as culture, economy, and tourism through exchanges with Muan-gun,” and added, “Based on this agreement, I hope Jungnang-gu and Muan-gun will grow together.”
The district is currently actively continuing domestic and international exchange activities, having signed exchange agreements with three overseas cities?Kazanluk City in Bulgaria, Meguro-ku in Japan, and Dongxing District in China?and nine domestic cities, including Muan-gun this time and Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do last year.
