June 6-8 at Gwangju Kim Dae-jung Convention Center

Hyosung Heavy Industries presents the direction of the K-power industry at Korea Electric Power Corporation's largest domestic energy industry exhibition.

Hyosung Heavy Industries announced that it will participate in the global power and energy industry expo "Bitgaram International Electric Power Technology Expo (BIXPO) 2024," held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju on the 6th. More than 20,000 power industry experts from about 200 domestic and international companies are expected to attend BIXPO 2024, which runs until the 8th.

At this exhibition, Hyosung Heavy Industries will introduce its next-generation power grid construction system. The company will showcase products including ▲ the 200MW-class voltage-source high-voltage direct current transmission system (HVDC), the first of its kind developed domestically ▲ energy storage systems (ESS) providing customized power solutions for clients ▲ the first domestically developed and commercialized static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) ▲ and ARMOUR (Asset Remote Management System for Operational Utility's Reliability), an AI-based power asset management solution.

Woo Tae-hee, CEO of Hyosung Heavy Industries, said, "This exhibition will be an opportunity to share the blueprint of the energy future envisioned by Hyosung Heavy Industries with domestic and international partners. We will continue to strive to enhance technological and quality competitiveness to help Korea’s power industry lead the global market."

Hyosung Heavy Industries is also leading efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic power industry by building these power systems in collaboration with local companies. In September, it jointly developed and launched the integrated solution ARPS (ARmour Plus Seda), which combines ARMOUR with Korea Electric Power Corporation’s comprehensive preventive diagnostic system SEDA (Substation Equipment Diagnostic & Analysis System).

In August, Hyosung Heavy Industries participated in "CIGRE 2024," the world’s largest power grid expo held in Paris, France, to promote the competitiveness of K-power.
