Designation of 10 Purchased Rental Units with Good Accessibility to Hospitals
Deposit 3 Million to 6 Million KRW · Monthly Rent 310,000 to 410,000 KRW
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 6th that it will provide 'Crisis Pregnant Women Shelters' in Dongdaemun-gu and Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, to support the safe childbirth and childcare of pregnant women in crisis.
Crisis pregnant women refer to those who face difficulties in childbirth and childcare due to unexpected pregnancy or economic, psychological, and physical problems.
The Crisis Pregnant Women Shelter is a residential space designed to help pregnant women in crisis not give up childbirth and prepare for the future, responding to various social issues such as infant abandonment and unregistered births. It operates as a non-disclosed facility to protect the rights of mothers and children and is scheduled to open in December.
On the 5th, LH signed a business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to provide the 'Crisis Pregnant Women Shelter.' LH designates purchased rental housing (10 units) with easy access to convenience facilities and hospitals as Crisis Pregnant Women Shelters and offers them at about 30% of the market price. These are two-room units with deposits ranging from 3 million to 6 million KRW and monthly rents of 310,000 to 410,000 KRW. The Seoul Metropolitan Government selects eligible crisis pregnant women and provides customized services such as childbirth and childcare support, livelihood, and psychological assistance.
Park Hyun-geun, head of LH's Seoul Regional Headquarters, said, "We will continue to support the realization of broad housing welfare so that vulnerable groups like crisis pregnant women can recover a healthy life under social protection."
