"Come See the Front Sea of Jinhae Bay" ... Changwon Special City Reopens Jinhae Marine Park Solar Tower Jinhae Marine Park Solar Tower Reopens.

Opened in October 2013, the Jinhae Marine Park Solar Tower, which has the tallest height and largest scale solar power generation facility in a single building in Korea, experienced frequent malfunctions due to the aging and excessive usage of its two high-speed elevators, causing inconvenience to users and posing safety risks. Therefore, a detailed safety inspection service for the elevators was conducted.

As a result, it was determined that a complete replacement of the high-speed elevators was necessary. Operations were suspended on November 10 last year, and with a project cost of 1.08 billion KRW, the work was completed on October 22.

With this, visitors can once again enjoy a panoramic view of the nearby Jinhae Bay from the circular observatory located on the top floors (27th and 28th floors) of the Solar Tower, which receives the highest number of visitors in the marine park. This is expected to satisfy citizens’ desire for sightseeing and increase the marine park’s admission revenue.

Jung Gyu-yong, Director of the Marine, Port and Fisheries Bureau, stated, “We will ensure the smooth reopening of the Jinhae Marine Park Solar Tower on November 16 and strive to provide many tourists visiting Jinhae Marine Park with memorable experiences at the high-rise circular observatory.”

Meanwhile, on the 10th at 1 PM, a ‘Reopening Celebration Concert’ will be held in the lobby on the 4th floor of the Marine Solar Park Exhibition Hall. This concert will open with a pre-celebration performance by the ‘Dandelion Ensemble,’ a youth orchestra from Neulpureun Hall. Additionally, on the 16th at 9 AM, a balloon giveaway event featuring safety wish messages will be held for the first 100 participants.
