60% Lifestyle Improvement, 68% Body Fat Reduction
Yeongju City Public Health Center announced on the 6th that this year's mobile healthcare project has been successfully completed with enthusiastic participation from the participants.
The mobile healthcare project utilizes information and communication technology (mobile apps and smartwatches) to provide personalized health consultations and lifestyle practice tasks remotely through professional staff at the health center (coordinators, nurses, nutritionists, exercise specialists), supporting the prevention of chronic diseases and improvement of self-health management abilities.
Introduced as a new initiative last year, this project enhanced its effectiveness this year by collaborating with the Yeongju Physical Fitness Certification Center to add physical fitness testing.
From April to October, over a six-month period, 50 local residents received one-on-one intensive counseling on nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, and alcohol moderation. As a result, 30 participants, accounting for 60% of the total, improved their healthy lifestyle habits, and 34 participants (68%) experienced a reduction in body fat percentage.
Participant A said, “Thanks to consistent health management counseling, I have developed regular lifestyle habits,” and added, “I hope this excellent program expands to more people so they can experience a sense of accomplishment.”
