Gwangju Urban Corporation, Korean Red Cross 'Appreciation Plaque'

Recognized for Contributions to Social Responsibility Activities

Gwangju Urban Corporation received a 'Plaque of Appreciation' in the social contribution category at the 119th anniversary annual meeting of the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross on the 5th.

Gwangju Urban Corporation announced on the 6th that it received a 'Plaque of Appreciation' in the social contribution category at the 119th anniversary branch conference of the Korean Red Cross held at the Henri Dunant Hall of the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross on the 5th.

The corporation was recognized for its active participation in the Red Cross humanitarian movement, significantly contributing to alleviating human suffering, promoting welfare, and social contribution activities, and received the plaque of appreciation on this day.

Since signing an agreement with the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross in 2014, the corporation has participated in various social contribution activities. These include sharing rice cake soup, supporting living supplies for youth preparing for independence, sharing samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), environmental conservation activities in Mudeungsan National Park, and blood donation campaigns for life sharing.

Kim Seung-nam, president of Gwangju Urban Corporation, said, “This plaque of appreciation is the result of the joint efforts of our executives and employees, and we will continue to work with the local community through various social contributions.” He added, “We will promote programs that can kindly approach marginalized neighbors in the local community.”
