Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) conducted the ‘2024 Driver Public Officials Competency Enhancement Training’ on the 5th for driving public officials to update them on revised road traffic laws and promote safe driving.

This training was conducted by inviting a professional instructor from the Road Traffic Authority and covered various topics for strengthening job competencies and recharging, including △proper driving posture and updates on traffic law amendments △principles of eco-friendly electric vehicle structure and management precautions △stress management techniques through self-awareness.

In particular, with the recent increase in the use of electric vehicles as official cars, the training focused on raising practical safety awareness regarding electric vehicles by providing detailed education on △structure and management methods of eco-friendly electric vehicles △inspection of charging environments △whether supplementary measures for regular vehicle inspections have been taken △emergency response procedures in various road environments and emergency situations.

A public official who participated in the training said, “I had many questions about the unique symptoms of electric vehicles, but I was able to understand the principles, and it helped me greatly in safe driving by allowing me to reconsider precautions during road driving.”

Kang Hye-sook, Head of the Personnel Department, stated, “Diligently performing duties in each position is an important responsibility for the citizens,” and added, “We will further improve the quality of administrative services through various job trainings such as ‘Factory Registration Practical Work’ and ‘Facility Introduction Course,’ not only for driving public officials.”
