The ‘2024 Gyeonggi Northern Region Cultural Specialization Support Project’
This event was planned by Yangju Salpan and the Yangju Byeolsandae Nori Preservation Society to strengthen place specialization through storytelling centered on the Yangju Gwana site and to realize a regional cultural model where tradition and creation harmoniously coexist.
Various traditional performances such as Talnori and Byeolsandae Nori, as well as experiential programs like trying on Talchum costumes, will be prepared so that the whole family can enjoy history lessons, traditional performances, and hands-on experiences while touring the Yangju Gwana site.
CEO Ha Chang-beom stated, “Through this festival, we expect the Yangju Gwana site to be reborn as a local attraction and to develop into a representative festival gathering traditional contents of Yangju City.” He added, “We will actively strive to create a space for continuous communication, not just a one-time event.”
