Travel Destination Discounts for Tourism Resident Card Users
'Korea's Hidden Gems, Autumn Travel' Campaign
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization (hereinafter referred to as the Organization) announced on the 5th that they will conduct a promotion for the Digital Tourism Resident Card (hereinafter referred to as the Tourism Resident Card) until the 25th of next month.
This promotion is planned as part of the ‘Every Corner of Korea, Autumn Travel’ campaign to revitalize travel in areas where the Tourism Resident Card service is available and to provide various benefits to the public.
The ‘Here! Do You Want to Go Too?’ event will run until December 8th. By following the Tourism Resident Card Instagram and leaving a comment on the area with population decline where you want to travel, participants will be entered into a draw to receive a 10,000 KRW Onnuri gift certificate.
The existing Tourism Resident Card user event, ‘Autumn Travel with Friends,’ will be held from the 6th to December 10th. Tourism Resident Card users who invite friends and verify that they received the Tourism Resident Card discount benefits together can receive a 50,000 KRW Onnuri gift certificate.
Lee Sang-min, Director of the National Tourism Office at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "Recently, the number of Digital Tourism Resident Card subscribers has exceeded 3.6 million," adding, "We plan to continue promoting this project so that more citizens can enjoy various benefits with the Tourism Resident Card and travel in areas with population decline."
