The government announced plans to lift restrictions on greenbelt areas to supply 50,000 new housing units and also presented measures to improve transportation conditions in five new residential sites. For the Seoripul district in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and Oreunwanggok in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, plans to establish new subway stations nearby are being considered. A complex transfer center will be installed in the Daegok station area in Goyang, where five railway lines pass through.

As a follow-up to the August 8 housing supply plan (8·8 Plan), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced candidate sites for new residential areas and stated on the 5th that they are considering adding a new station on the Shinbundang Line in the Seoripul district to enable access to downtown Seoul within 20 minutes. Taking advantage of the proximity to the Shinbundang Line Cheonggyesan Entrance Station, GTX-C Yangjae Station, and road networks such as the Gyeongbu Expressway, they plan to create a more dense public transportation network by establishing a circular bus network between the Shinbundang Line (Cheonggyesan Entrance Station and Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station) and Line 4 (Seonbawi Station). The Cheonggyesan-ro road will be expanded to resolve bottlenecks and congestion sections.
The Seoripul district is an area through which the Shinbundang Line passes and is the largest in area and number of households among the newly announced residential sites. It is located 15 km from the center of Seoul (Seoul City Hall) and 5 km from the Gangnam downtown area. Nearby are Shinbundang Line Cheonggyesan Entrance Station, Yangjae Station (GTX-C line), and road networks including the Gyeongbu Expressway (Yangjae IC, Seonam IC) and Bundang Naegok Urban Expressway (Naegok IC).
Kim Bae-seong, head of the Public Housing Promotion Team at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "If 20,000 households move into the Seoripul district, the most frequently used line by residents will be the Shinbundang Line. Since the station intervals on the Shinbundang Line are wide, we believe it is possible to add stations after review." He added, "It is difficult to specify the station locations now, but the necessity will be reviewed during the establishment of the metropolitan transportation plan and district unit plan."

A complex transfer center will be built in the Daegok station area in Goyang, where five lines pass. A public transportation network will be created to circulate between Daegok Station, where GTX-A (scheduled to open at the end of this year), Line 3, Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Seohae Line, and Gyoeoseon (scheduled to open at the end of this year) intersect, the project site, and surrounding areas to improve accessibility to Daegok Station. Functions linked to major roads such as the Metropolitan Area 1st Ring Road and Jayu-ro will be expanded. Additionally, traffic volume dispersal measures will be prepared for Goyang-daero and Seooreung-ro to minimize road congestion.
Lee Dong-hwan, mayor of Goyang, emphasized, "Unlike other areas, the Daegok station area is a region where five railway lines operate, and it should be developed with the concept of a transfer town."

For Oreunwanggok in Uiwang, plans to strengthen connections with the GTX-C line (Geumjeong Station, Uiwang Station) and consider adding new stations are underway. The Indeokwon-Dongtan Line Uiwang City Hall Station (tentative name), scheduled to open in 2029, is located 0.7 km from the project site, and transportation improvements will be made to enhance accessibility. Furthermore, roads connecting the project areas separated into Oreun-dong and Wanggok-dong will be linked to create a single living zone. The metropolitan bus stop at Uiwang TG will be utilized to improve the metropolitan public transportation transfer system.
Yonghyeon in Uijeongbu is located 0.7 km from Tapseok Station on Line 7, scheduled to open in 2026, and Heeryong Station on Line 1. Plans are in place to strengthen connections with the Seoul Line 7 extension and the newly established GTX-C (Uijeongbu Station) railway line to enable access to downtown Seoul within 30 minutes by establishing a public transportation transfer system. Traffic conditions on surrounding roads such as Sinpyeonghwa-ro will be improved, and bottlenecks on National Road 3 will be resolved to facilitate smooth road traffic toward downtown and Jamsil.
