According to Gwangju City on the 5th, this donation is intended to support heating costs for energy-vulnerable groups during the winter season. The donation ceremony was attended by Mayor Bang Se-hwan, Park Hyun-gyu, chairman of DWG Holdings Co., Ltd., Kim Hyo-jin, secretary-general of the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest, and other officials.
Chairman Park said, “As the weather is getting cooler, I donated this money hoping that neighbors would not suffer from insufficient heating costs,” and added, “I hope that this warm heart will be well conveyed to vulnerable neighbors.”
Mayor Bang Se-hwan responded, “Thank you for your interest in helping neighbors struggling with heating costs to live better lives. We will strive to make Gwangju a warm and livable city full of citizens' affection.”
Meanwhile, Chairman Park Hyun-gyu, along with his spouse Choi Yoon-kyung, CEO of Gongyeong Industry Co., Ltd., are members No. 75 and 76 of the Jeonnam·Gwangju Metropolitan City Fruit of Love and the 13th couple members of the Honor Society, continuously engaging in donation activities. In 2023, their child Park Se-hwan, CEO of Daeyoung Construction Co., Ltd., also joined as member No. 155 of the Jeonnam·Gwangju Metropolitan City Honor Society, actively participating in social contribution activities in the local community as the 7th family Honor Society in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
