[Featured Stock] Unison Rises on 37 Trillion Investment in Ulsan World's Largest 'Floating Offshore Wind Farm'

Unison is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that the world's largest floating offshore wind power complex will be established off the coast of Ulsan, with an investment of 37 trillion won.


As of 10:30 AM on the 5th, Unison is trading at 738 won, up 3.65% compared to the previous day.


According to the industry, on this day, Ulsan City announced that it will sign a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the establishment of a floating offshore wind power complex. Private investors participating in the agreement include Banditbul Energy (Norway), Haeul Offshore Wind Power 1, 2, 3 (Denmark), KF Wind (Spain, Norway), and Gwishingorae Offshore Wind Power 1, 2, 3 (UK, France, Korea).


Looking at the investment plans by company, Banditbul Energy reported 229 billion won in FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) and will invest a total of 5.7 trillion won to build a 750MW offshore wind power complex about 70 km off the coast of Ulsan. The completion target is 2030.


Haeul Offshore Wind Power will create a 1.5GW scale power complex through approximately 130 billion won in FDI and 12 trillion won in investment. The goal is also to complete it by 2030. KF Wind plans to complete a 1125MW scale power complex by 2031, investing a total of 7.5 trillion won along with about 48.5 billion won in FDI. Gwishingorae Offshore Wind Power plans to build a 1.5GW scale power complex by 2031, investing 12 trillion won with about 42.5 billion won in FDI.


The total planned investment amount from each developer sums up to approximately 37.2 trillion won.


Meanwhile, Unison is a specialized wind power company. It produces complete wind turbines including wind power systems and wind turbine towers. It is known to have recently succeeded in manufacturing the largest domestic 10MW class direct-drive offshore wind turbine.
