'Multi Champion' Madahsom, World Ranking Moves from 92 to 74

In the women's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 4th (local time), she received 1.61 points, jumping 18 spots from 92nd last week. She claimed the top spot after defeating Kim Su-ji in the second sudden-death playoff at the KLPGA Tour S-OIL Championship held last week at Elysian Jeju (par 72, 6,752 yards) in Jeju City, Jeju Island. This is her second win of the season and third overall since the Hana Financial Group Championship in September, with a prize money of 162 million won.

Madah Som earned her first victory last September at the OK Financial Group Uthman Open and has added wins in September and November this year, walking the path of the ‘Autumn Queen.’ Notably, she did not record a single bogey from the first day to the final day in this tournament. This is the 11th ‘no bogey’ victory in KLPGA Tour history.

Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu (both from the United States), Lin Ying (China), Lydia Ko (New Zealand), and Hannah Green (Australia) maintained their positions as world rankings 1st to 5th. South Korea placed Yoo Hae-ran 6th, Ko Jin-young 10th, Yang Hee-young 11th, Kim Hyo-joo 20th, Shin Ji-ae 27th, and Yoon Yi-na 29th. Takeda Rio (Japan), winner of last week’s LPGA Tour Toto Japan Classic, jumped 7 spots from 25th to 18th.
