316 Entries Submitted on the 4th for the Theme 'Smart City Living with Drones'
18 Works Including Grand Prize Winner 'The Breath of Gangwon, the Beauty of Yeongwol' Awarded
Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Choi Myung-seo) held the award ceremony for the 9th National Drone Video and Photo Contest at 2 p.m. on the 4th in the 3rd exhibition hall of the Donggang Photo Museum.

Under the contest theme "Smart City Living with Drones, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and Yeongwol-gun," this contest was organized to promote the beautiful tourist resources of Yeongwol and Gangwon-do, which aspire to become Korea's representative drone city, and to contribute to the development of the domestic drone industry.
A total of 316 works were submitted (73 videos and 243 photos), and based on judging criteria such as relevance to the theme, creativity, and completeness, 6 videos and 15 photos were selected as award-winning works.
The grand prize was awarded to Lee Do-gyu and Lee In-ha for "The Breath of Gangwon, the Beauty of Yeongwol," while the best video award went to Kim In-ho (2024 Yeongwol and Gangwon), and the best photo award was given to Son Dae-rim (Beautiful Nongoldam-gil), with a total of 18 works receiving the honorable awards.
An official from Yeongwol-gun stated, "All the submitted works were excellent pieces that well expressed the characteristics and beauty that can be captured by drones," adding, "We thank everyone who annually records the beautiful nature of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and Yeongwol through videos and photos."
