Jeon Jin-sook, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Gwangju Buk-gu Eul, announced on the 4th that she has been appointed as a ‘People’s Livelihood Special Advisor’ to party leader Lee Jae-myung.
The special advisory group, consisting of 28 members including Jeon, is tasked with identifying policy and political agendas across various fields based on their expertise and delivering them to the party leader.
The People’s Livelihood Special Advisory Group, operating directly under the Chief Special Advisor Ahn Kyu-baek, includes members Jeon, Bok Ki-wang, Heo Jong-sik, Heo Young, Kim Young-hwan, Song Jae-bong, Chae Hyun-il, Lee Sang-sik, Moon Dae-rim, Jang Jong-tae, Jo Gye-won, Park Hee-seung, Heo Seong-mu, Im Mi-ae, and regional committee heads Lee Kang-jin and Jeon Eun-su.
Jeon emphasized, “The Yoon Seok-yeol administration does not have the word ‘livelihood’ in its agenda. The Democratic Party of Korea will take the lead in resolving livelihood issues and dedicate ourselves more to protecting the lives of the people.”
Meanwhile, Jeon was previously recognized for her ability to communicate directly with citizens through her roles as a member of the Gwangju Buk-gu Council, Gwangju City Council, Presidential Secretariat administrative officer, and the Rural Youth Development Foundation. Last month, she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Democratic Party of Korea’s Special Committee on Childcare.
