December 4 Semester Start... Benefits Including Goyang Citizen Discount and Free Textbook Files Provided
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that registration for the "Goyang City Native Speaker Online English" program will begin on the 4th, with classes starting on December 4th.
The program is open to elementary, middle, and high school students as well as adults residing in Goyang City. Classes will be held for 8 weeks, with options to choose either 25-minute sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or 40-minute sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. After a level test, students will be grouped according to their proficiency.
Previously, to reduce private education expenses and nurture global talent, Goyang City has operated a "Native Speaker English Class" at the local administrative welfare centers since 2007. Although the program shifted to online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was temporarily suspended to review the operation method.
Due to continuous interest and requests from citizens regarding the native speaker English classes, Goyang City signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the online English education company EnglishTopia Co., Ltd., enabling the provision of a more substantial and efficient English conversation program to citizens.
As a result, Goyang citizens can receive free textbook files and access high-quality English education at an affordable cost, thereby reducing the burden of private education expenses.
Registration for the first session begins on November 4th and can be done through the official website of "Goyang Special City Native Speaker Online English."
