Autonomous driving companies Emotion Co., Ltd. and Baylis Co., Ltd. announced on the 4th that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the development of an autonomous driving software platform technology based on AUTOSAR Adaptive.
This business agreement holds great significance as a preliminary step to achieving innovation in autonomous driving technology and providing efficient next-generation autonomous driving solutions through the technological synergy of the two companies.

Both companies revealed plans to accelerate the development of efficient sensor data processing, route planning, and vehicle control systems for autonomous vehicles by combining Emotion’s automotive electronic software technology with Baylis’s autonomous driving platform technology, with the joint goal of developing safe and reliable autonomous driving solutions.
Woo Hee-jung, Head of Research at Emotion, stated, "The signing of this MOU is an important opportunity to elevate our technological capabilities in the field of autonomous driving," adding, "We will implement the vehicle’s E/E architecture more robustly and flexibly and establish the optimal foundation for future vehicle architectures."
Kim Sang-beom, Executive Director at Baylis, said, "By collaborating with Emotion on various autonomous driving-capable vehicle platforms and software, we expect to promptly commercialize autonomous driving software based on AUTOSAR Adaptive. Through cooperation of the two companies’ technologies and experiences, we will provide differentiated value to customers in the rapidly changing mobility industry."
Meanwhile, Emotion is a specialized automotive electronic software company possessing technologies related to driving, steering, and propulsion of autonomous vehicles, significantly enhancing vehicle safety and performance. Through this collaboration with Baylis, it plans to support safer autonomous driving of autonomous vehicles.
Additionally, the companies are preparing for POC (Proof of Concept) projects needed in new cities in the future, and they plan to focus on specialized cooperation and talent development in related fields for continuous technological innovation and advancement. Through this, they are expected to lead global trends in autonomous driving technology and provide cutting-edge solutions that meet consumer and market expectations.
