Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 4th that it will conduct a preliminary viewing of relocation housing for residents of ‘Hagye 5 Complex’ and ‘Sanggye Madeul Complex’ in Nowon-gu, Seoul, where reconstruction is underway.
The preliminary viewing of relocation housing by SH Corporation will be held from today until the 8th. Residents can visit the relocation housing in advance to directly check the interior facilities and residential environment such as location. A shuttle bus will also operate from the complex to the relocation housing for residents with mobility difficulties.

The relocation housing consists of permanent and public rental housing owned by SH Corporation, as well as purchased rental housing located near the existing complexes. The corporation explained, “We have prepared relocation housing within a 5km radius of the existing complexes to ensure residents do not experience inconvenience in their daily lives,” adding, “Since residents will relocate in groups of more than 20 households, the existing community can be maintained.”
The relocation is scheduled for the first half of next year. Residents can live in the relocation housing by paying rent similar to their current level and will have priority to move in once the redevelopment of Hagye 5 and Sanggye Madeul complexes is completed. SH Corporation stated, “We plan to increase the relocation rate through the preliminary housing viewing and lay the foundation for the success of the redevelopment project.”
This preliminary housing viewing was conducted jointly by SH Corporation and local city council members at the request of local residents.
Kim Heon-dong, President of SH Corporation, said, “We will successfully promote the redevelopment projects of Hagye 5 and Sanggye Madeul through this preliminary viewing of relocation housing,” and added, “We will do our best to create an environment where residents can relocate without inconvenience.”
