Shinhan Bank announced on the 4th that it has revamped the Shinhan Homebank service to operate 365 days a year.
Shinhan Homebank is the first service in the domestic financial sector to handle banking transactions through video consultations using TV and provide various financial information. It is a new concept financial service launched in collaboration with KT in May last year (KT Genie TV channel 777) to improve financial accessibility for customers who find it difficult to visit branches during banking hours.
Through this revamp, Shinhan Bank has extended the video consultation service hours of ‘Shinhan Homebank’ and added financial information content necessary for customers. Previously, the video consultation service hours were from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on business days, but with this revamp, they have been expanded to 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., including Saturdays and public holidays, 365 days a year. Customers who wish to have a video consultation can make a reservation for Shinhan Homebank consultation through channels such as Shinhan SOL Bank, KakaoTalk, and Naver, and comfortably receive financial consultations on TV at their desired time.
Additionally, professional broadcasters such as Jang Sung-kyu and Jang Ye-won appear alongside experts in fields like real estate and taxation to provide useful financial information through content such as ‘Beolmyeon Mwohani’ and ‘Sangdamwang Gamseonggyu.’ Shinhan Bank will also hold a customer event until the end of the year to offer better services by reflecting customer feedback. The first 400 customers who use the Shinhan Homebank video consultation service and 100 customers whose reviews are selected will be given a 10,000 KRW Genie TV coupon.
A Shinhan Bank official said, “We have revamped the service so that customers who find it difficult to handle banking tasks due to their busy daily lives can comfortably receive financial consultations 365 days a year,” adding, “We will continue to improve the service through customer feedback and develop it to enable 24-hour banking operations by simultaneously operating ‘AI Banker’ and human consultants in the future.”
