Final Report Meeting on the Feasibility Study for Establishing a Science High School
On the 1st, Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province held the final report meeting and citizen briefing session for the 'Feasibility Study on the Establishment of Hwaseong Science High School' at Hwaseong Citizen University in Bongdam-eup, attended by city officials, Hwaseong Research Institute, and about 50 citizens.

At this briefing session, the Hwaseong Research Institute presented the final research results of the 'Feasibility Study on the Establishment of a Science High School.' The institute shared with citizens ▲the feasibility analysis results ▲the operation plan for the science high school ▲and the details of the Gyeonggi-type science high school new designation public contest.
Park Mirang, Director of the Culture and Education Bureau of Hwaseong City, stated, "Through this briefing session, we had the opportunity to directly hear the voices of citizens and enhance understanding of the establishment of the science high school," adding, "We will continue to promote education policies together with citizens." Director Park also added, "The establishment of a science high school in Hwaseong will be an important milestone to improve the quality of local education and nurture future science and technology talents."
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced the first-stage preliminary designation public contest plan for the new designation of Gyeonggi-type science high schools last September and is accepting applications until the 8th. The city plans to prepare and submit an application for the science high school contest reflecting the characteristics of the Hwaseong area.
