On the 3rd, at the final 3rd round of the KLPGA Tour S-OIL Championship (total prize money 900 million won) held at Elysian Jeju in Jeju City, Jeju Island (par 72, 6,752 yards), she scored 5 under par to tie with Kim Suji at 15 under par 201 strokes, then secured the ‘winning birdie’ on the second hole of the sudden-death playoff at the 18th hole (par 5). This is her second win of the season and third career victory, following her win at the Hana Financial Group Championship last September, with a winner’s prize of 162 million won.

Madasom earned her first victory last September at the OK Financial Group Uthman Open, and added wins in September and November this year. After both players tied par in the first playoff hole, they competed in a putting duel in the second playoff hole, where Madasom ultimately prevailed. Kim Suji attempted a birdie putt of about 5 meters first but missed to the left, and Madasom succeeded with a 2.5-meter birdie putt, sealing the match.

Kim Suji, last month’s major tournament Hite Jinro Championship winner, fought hard by lowering her score by 4 strokes but settled for second place. Moon Jungmin, Han Jinseon, and Hong Hyunji tied for third place (14 under par 202 strokes). Park Hyunkyung, second in prize money and points, finished tied for ninth (10 under par 206 strokes). Although she could not surpass Yoon Ina, who leads in prize money and points and did not participate in this tournament, she narrowed the gap and increased her chances of a comeback in the season finale.
