Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is launching the ‘Integrated Alleyway Commercial District Promotion Event’ in collaboration with small business owners to revive the local commercial districts that have been stagnating due to high inflation.

The district has prepared discount and prize benefit events for customers who use the seven designated alleyway commercial districts.

The ‘Gwanak-gu Alleyway Commercial District Promotion Integrated Discount Event’ is a project jointly promoted by the district and the alleyway commercial district merchants’ association to revitalize alleyway commercial districts and increase store sales, which have recently been struggling due to a contraction in domestic consumption.

From the 5th to the 6th, the district plans to distribute coupons worth 5,000 won, which can be used like cash at stores within the alleyway commercial districts, to reduce the burden on local residents when using the commercial districts. Upon receiving the coupon, customers will be automatically entered into a prize drawing event for even greater benefits.

The coupons can be used at participating stores within the seven Gwanak-gu alleyway commercial districts (▲Seorim-dong ‘Seorim Dabok-gil’ ▲Sillim-dong ‘Byeolbit Street’ ▲Boramae-dong ‘Borabit Street’ ▲Jungang-dong ‘Jeongjungang-gil’ ▲Cheongnyong-dong ‘Purmir-gil’ ▲Jowon-dong ‘Daechu Chorong Jowon Bok-gil’ ▲Daehak-dong ‘Nokdu Street’), and customers must present the coupon when using it.

The coupons are valid for three weeks from the 5th to the 30th and up to two coupons can be used at a single store.

We will continue to make every effort to establish a sustainable growth foundation for the alleyway commercial districts and revitalize the local economy in a way that merchants and residents can feel.”
