Expressing Grief Over Recently Divorced Husband
However, Husband Is Found to Have No Charges
A woman went missing at Niagara Falls in the United States along with her two young children.
On the 1st (local time), foreign media including the New York Post reported that a woman and two children went missing near Luna Island at Niagara Falls around 9 p.m. on the 21st of last month. It was reported that the woman climbed over the railing near the falls and fell approximately 60 meters down. Police who were notified immediately formed a search team to find them, but have not yet discovered any bodies. The police presume that all three have died and believe they jumped into the falls voluntarily. The police stated that they are investigating the detailed circumstances of the incident.
The woman is known to be Kianti Mins (33), who worked as a domestic violence counselor near Niagara Falls. The missing children are reported to be a 5-month-old baby and a 9-year-old child. The police do not suspect any wrongdoing on the part of the husband.
Mins’ acquaintances expressed their condolences for Mins and her two children on social media, posting messages such as "I haven’t slept at all. My heart is broken," and "I can’t even bear to write about him or share memories."
Also, last year, there was an incident where a woman jumped off Niagara Falls with her 5-year-old son. The woman died at the time, but the son was miraculously rescued.
Meanwhile, Luna Island is located above the New York side of Niagara Falls and is one of the popular observation points. It is open to visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the annual number of visitors is estimated to exceed 8 million.
