"Today, Healing Day!" Hanam City Holds Healing Workshop for Civil Service Staff

Hanam City is conducting a healing workshop on Nami Island to heal the minds of civil service employees and provide them with an opportunity to recharge.

Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) held a healing workshop at Nami Island from October 31 to November 1 to soothe the minds of civil service staff exhausted from handling various civil complaints and to provide an opportunity for recharging.

This healing workshop is an annual event held once a year to relieve job stress and boost morale among civil complaint officers. It was conducted in three sessions with 86 employees working in civil complaint departments such as the City Hall Civil Service Office, Administrative Welfare Centers, and public-facing departments participating.

The civil complaint staff learned kindness training and civil complaint response techniques based on an understanding of changing public trends during this workshop.

Additionally, to relieve stress for employees tired from emotional labor, aroma scent therapy was conducted, and healing programs such as activities to enjoy the autumn scenery of Nami Island were also operated.

One employee who attended the workshop said, “I was glad to reduce job stress while enjoying the beautiful natural environment for a day,” and emphasized, “Having had a time to recharge and reflect on myself through this workshop, I will strive to provide high-quality administrative services to the citizens.”

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae stated, “This workshop was planned to provide an opportunity for civil complaint staff working on the front lines of civil administration to recharge their energy,” and emphasized, “Hanam City will continue to carefully take care of the mental health of its employees so that it can provide citizens with civil services of the highest level nationwide.”
