Dedicated Site Construction, Operation from 6th to 20th
Expansion of Employment Support and Resolution of Corporate Recruitment Difficulties
Nam-gu, Gwangju City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 1st that it will operate an 'online recruitment center' for the first time this year to expand employment opportunities for job seekers and alleviate recruitment difficulties for companies ahead of the '2024 Job Fair' to be held at Gwangju University on the 19th.
This year's fair will be held as a hybrid on- and offline event, moving away from the traditional offline method of conducting job seeking and recruitment through on-site fairs and bulletin boards, allowing job seekers and employers to engage in job search and hiring activities simultaneously both on-site and online.
The online recruitment center was established for job seekers and employers who find it difficult to visit the site on the day of the '2024 Job Fair' due to time and other circumstances. The district has built a dedicated website where recruitment announcements from excellent companies and small and medium-sized enterprises located in Gwangju and Jeonnam can be checked in real time, and it will operate for 14 days from the 6th to the 20th.
A district official explained, "Job seekers who wish to find employment can conveniently proceed with the employment process without being restricted by time and place, and since job seeking and recruitment information can be checked in one place, online communication between job seekers and employers can be conducted more conveniently."
Meanwhile, the '2024 Job Fair' will be held on the 19th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Gwangju University Gymnasium.
