This education invited instructor Kim Byung-gon, a specialist in anti-prejudice adoption education from the Korea Adoption Promotion Association, to lecture on preventing negative perceptions and prejudices against adoptive families and promoting social awareness that understands and respects diverse family forms.
This session, held for the second time following last year, added significance and received positive evaluations as it provided detailed information about adoption and helped change perceptions regarding adoption.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "This education was especially meaningful as it was conducted for public officials to firmly establish the city's child-friendly status," adding, "We will continue to promote awareness improvement education to create an environment where children can grow up happily and healthily."
