Yun Byeong-tae, Mayor of Naju, Holds 15th Village Forum at Songchon Village

Residents Propose Agricultural Road Construction and Information Village Remodeling

Yoon Byung-tae, the mayor of Naju City in Jeollanam-do, visited Songchon Village in Seongbuk-dong to listen attentively to the vivid voices of the residents on-site during the '15th Visiting Village Forum.'

The Village Forum is a communication policy under the administrative principle of 'the answer lies on-site,' where Mayor Yoon personally visits the village to have candid conversations with residents, listens to their inconveniences, and devises improvement measures.

Songchon Village currently has 80 households and 129 residents, and it is also the birthplace of the late Yang Jae-bong, the founder of the Daesin Group.

At the forum, Jeong Seong-il, the village head, Kim Deok-jung, the president of the Seongbuk-dong Senior Citizens Association, Oh Soon-bok, the head of the women's association, and about 20 residents attended. During the meeting, residents proposed projects such as 'construction of agricultural roads in Songhyeon Village' and 'remodeling of the informatization village building.'

Mayor Yoon said, “We will carefully review your valuable opinions by department and inform you of the progress. Please feel free to make suggestions anytime via phone, text, the Seongbuk-dong chief, or staff, even on matters we may not have mentioned.”
