They visited major tourist attractions such as Yi Sun-sin Square, the Marine Cable Car, and the Jinnamgwan Relics Exhibition Hall, and enjoyed various charms of Yeosu by tasting local specialties like soy sauce marinated crab, Gat kimchi, and bulgogi set meals.

The city supported the visit by providing a welcome performance by the municipal Gugak orchestra's military band, setting up a temporary currency exchange booth inside the terminal, deploying cultural tourism guides and Japanese interpreters, and operating a Yeosu specialty product pop-up store.

Additionally, they gifted traditional fans with Korean names written on them and held traditional game experience events such as jegichagi (shuttlecock kicking), ttakji chigi (folded paper tile flipping), and archery, which received great responses from the passengers.

The Asuka II stayed in Yeosu for about 9 hours before departing for its next port of call in Japan.

A Yeosu city official said, "With the completion of the Asuka II schedule, all international cruise arrivals planned for this year have concluded. Since cruise port tourism is a highly potential industry, we will continue to actively promote its attraction."

Meanwhile, the arrival of the American shipping company Norwegian's "Sky" is scheduled at Yeosu Port in March next year.
