Deliberation on the 2025 Education Expense Support Project and Exploration of Education Development Directions
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 1st that it held the 'Paju City Education Development Committee' on the 30th of last month.
The Paju City Education Development Committee is composed of a total of 21 members, including the Vice Mayor as the chairman, provincial and city council members, education experts, school principals, and parents. The committee is responsible for reviewing support projects for education expenses in Paju City, discovering new subsidy projects, and suggesting directions for educational development.
At this meeting, the achievements of the 2024 education policy were reviewed, and the 2025 education expense support projects were deliberated.
During the meeting, the 2025 education expense support projects included ▲curriculum support projects ▲future education and creative activity support projects ▲educational welfare projects ▲educational environment improvement projects, with a total of 28 projects and a budget of 34.7 billion KRW reviewed.
Additionally, the meeting shared the performance review of the 2024 education expense support projects, the results of the subcommittee deliberations, amendments to the ordinance concerning education support in Paju City, and exchanged various opinions to find directions for educational development in Paju City.
In particular, after Paju City was designated as a leading area for the Education Development Special Zone in July, the implementation plan was reported, and in-depth discussions were held on directions and strategies to successfully promote pilot projects.
The city plans to establish the 2025 education policy reflecting the opinions derived from this meeting and to promote various support projects for educational development.
Kim Jin-gi, Vice Mayor of Paju City, stated, “We will actively reflect the voices from the education field to provide education expenses appropriately and support students so that they can focus on their studies in a safe and comfortable environment.”
