The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced on the 1st that it will release a commemorative medal celebrating the 10th anniversary of the game "Black Desert."
Black Desert is a popular game serviced in 12 languages across 150 countries worldwide. Released in 2014, this game is played as a large-scale multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). It is characterized by vivid graphics and realistic audio that create a sense of immersion.
The Minting Corporation designed the commemorative medal featuring Black Desert's first character, the "Warrior," and the "10th Anniversary Logo." The medal incorporates the corporation's special embossing technology to embody the significance and value of the game's 10th anniversary.
The front side features the "Warrior," the "10th Anniversary Logo," and the phrase "EMBARK ON THE NEXT ADVENTURE." The back side centers on the "10th Anniversary Logo," with "BLACK DESERT," "10TH ANNIVERSARY," and the corporation's hallmark engraved.
The commemorative medals are produced in ▲gold (99.9% purity, weight 15.55g, diameter 32mm, proof) and ▲silver (99.9% purity, weight 31.1g, diameter 40mm, proof). Among these, the gold medal is limited to 240 pieces to enhance its collectible value.
The packaging is designed in a symbolic trophy shape to celebrate Black Desert's 10th anniversary.
The set includes coupons usable on PC and consoles, allowing purchasers to keep the medal and receive meaningful special in-game items.
The commemorative medals will be available for pre-order on a first-come, first-served basis until the 13th of this month through the Minting Corporation's online mall, Poongsan Hwadoyanghaeng, Hmall, and The Hyundai.com.
On the 1st, the medals can be viewed on The Hyundai.com, and on the 7th, through Hmall and mobile live broadcasts.
The Minting Corporation plans a second pre-order sale from the 11th to the 24th of next month. The commemorative medals will also be exhibited at the Black Desert FESTA held at "Messe" in Suwon on the 14th of next month.
