Two female influencers in Brazil drowned after refusing to wear life jackets and being swept away by waves.

According to foreign media including the British Daily Mail and the New York Post on the 29th (local time), influencers Alin Tamara Moreira de Amorim (37) and Beatriz Tavares da Silva Faria (27) died in a yacht capsizing accident off the coast of S?o Paulo, Brazil. They encountered large waves on their way back to land after enjoying a luxury yacht party on September 29. The yacht capsized while passing through the Garganta do Diabo (Devil's Throat) area. Of the seven people on board, including the captain, five were rescued, but the two women went missing and were found dead a week after the accident.

Investigations revealed that both women refused to wear life jackets for personal reasons. A police official stated, "One refused to wear a life jacket for photo shoots, and the other declined for tanning purposes." The captain, who was operating the boat at the time, said, "The maximum capacity of the yacht is five people, but I was ordered to carry six. When we encountered large waves, the boat could not withstand the weight and sank. After the accident, I desperately tried to rescue people."

One survivor, Vanessa Audrey da Silva, testified, "When the boat sank, I was shocked and held onto a rock while wearing a life jacket." Another survivor, Camila Alves de Carvalho, also said, "I clung to the life jacket risking my life. The waves were so strong I almost died." The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
