Operation of Two Consignment Centers in Cheongdam and Gaepo-dong for Vulnerable Groups and Single-Person Households
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) is recruiting applicants for the 'Our Neighborhood Pet Boarding Service' until the end of this year. The pet boarding service, piloted this year, is a pet care service provided to residents who urgently need a place to leave their dogs or cats due to hospital stays or travel.
The service is available to vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty class, single-parent families registered as residents in Gangnam-gu, as well as single-person households. There is no income limit for single-person households. Vulnerable groups can use the service free of charge for up to 10 days, and single-person households for up to 5 days, with daily applications also accepted.
The boarding locations are two places: 24-Hour Cheongdam Woori Animal Hospital in Cheongdam-dong and Docking About in Gaepo-dong. Those wishing to leave their pets must visit the pet boarding service in person to fill out an application form. At this time, they must prepare an ID card, a copy of the animal registration certificate (only for dogs), a certificate of livelihood security issued within the last 3 months, a near-poverty class confirmation, a single-parent family certificate, and a resident registration copy. District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “We hope that the 'Our Neighborhood Pet Boarding Service' will ease the worries of residents who urgently need a place to care for their pets,” and added, “We will continue to expand support policies to create a happy Gangnam where pet owners and their pets can live together happily.”
