Daejin University Holds 2024 SW Curriculum Innovation Committee Meeting Daejin University Digital Talent Development Project Group is taking a commemorative photo after holding the '2024 SW Curriculum Innovation Committee.'

On the 28th, the Digital Talent Development Project Group at Daejin University (President Lim Young-moon) held the '2024 SW Curriculum Innovation Committee' at the International Seminar Room on the 2nd floor of the main university building, with Director Son Ban-yong and 15 external committee members in attendance.


According to Daejin University on the 31st, internal committee members included professors from the AI Convergence Department (Computer Engineering major), Department of Electronic Engineering, and Department of Smart Convergence Security. External members included officials from local governments (Pocheon City Hall, Pocheon Office of Education), Kim Chang-hyun, head of Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark, CEO Kim Jun-ho of Soda System Co., Ltd., Team Leader Gu Kyung-hwan of Commax Co., Ltd., Executive Director Lim Chun-hwan of Ditonic, and CEO Song Young-woon of Hint Co., Ltd.


At this meeting, it was agreed to additionally reflect the demands of the industry field and local governments on the innovative SW curriculum, and to cooperate in supporting SW education programs for elementary, middle, and high schools as well as underprivileged groups in the region.


The committee members exchanged various opinions, highlighting the need for comprehensive SW education across all fields as the most serious issue raised by the industry, problems related to employment linkage through internships, frequent job changes among students, and the importance of character education for employed individuals.


Professor Son Ban-yong, director of the Digital Talent Development Project Group at Daejin University, stated, “The SW Curriculum Innovation Committee serves as an advisory body to improve our university’s SW education into a local government and industry field-friendly education. We plan to reflect this in future curricula to activate industry-centered SW education and link it with the local community.”
