Dongdaemun-gu and Hanyang Women's University Join Hands to Revitalize the Fashion Sewing Industry

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) signed an agreement on the 31st with Hanyang Women's University to revitalize the fashion sewing industry and establish an ESG resource circulation cooperation system.

Attending the signing ceremony were Ilpyeong Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, Saeri Na, President of Hanyang Women's University, and Haewoong Shin, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.

Through this agreement, Dongdaemun-gu and Hanyang Women's University will establish an industry-academic cooperation governance to revitalize the fashion sewing industry, create a data-based foundation for sewing personnel, support the nurturing of startup designers, and jointly promote research and development of eco-friendly materials and sustainable industries.

They agreed to contribute to the development of the local community through industry-academic cooperation.

Ilpyeong Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "I am pleased to unite with Hanyang Women's University to revitalize the fashion sewing industry," and added, "We will continuously promote industry-academic cooperation with the university to revitalize the fashion sewing industry."
