Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 31st that it held the opening ceremony of the "Pocheon City Housing Welfare Center" on the 30th at the 4th floor of the new building of Pocheon City Hall.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 20 people, including Kim Jong-hoon, Deputy Mayor of Pocheon City, local institution and organization heads, and citizens. The event proceeded in the order of opening, introduction of guests, progress report, greetings, congratulatory speeches, plaque unveiling ceremony and commemorative photo, and facility tour (rounding).
The Pocheon City Housing Welfare Center plans to provide customized housing-related services reflecting citizens' opinions, such as counseling services, housing improvement support, and various support programs for low-income and vulnerable groups.
In particular, it is expected to be used as a space where residents can directly participate and communicate, with consultations on various support projects and housing-related issues taking place.
Deputy Mayor Kim Jong-hoon said, "The Pocheon City Housing Welfare Center is an important milestone for improving citizens' housing welfare. It will be a place that realizes the dreams and hopes of citizens beyond just a simple space." He added, "Pocheon City will continue to strive so that all citizens can live in a safe and comfortable housing environment."
