Expanding Mental Health Management to Physical Health Management
"A Starting Point for B2B Development Mediated by EAP"
Nudge Healthcare announced on the 31st that it has acquired Dain, a company specializing in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and will launch the 'Nudge EAP Service' targeting the business-to-business (B2B) market.
The Nudge EAP Service is a total EAP solution aimed at improving employee health and corporate productivity. Through this acquisition, Nudge Healthcare revealed its plans to actively expand B2B services not only in physical health management but also in mental health management. Since 2017, Nudge Healthcare has been leading innovation in the health and fitness sector with the health management application 'Cashwalk,' focusing on fostering healthy lifestyle habits.
With this acquisition, Nudge Healthcare will be able to provide an integrated solution covering the entire healthcare spectrum. In addition to mental health management, the company plans to expand into physical health management services such as diabetes, blood pressure, weight management, and musculoskeletal disorder prevention and care, offering a total EAP solution.
Furthermore, Nudge Healthcare plans to leverage the IT capabilities that handle the large-scale traffic of Cashwalk to develop and introduce new physical and mental health management services, including psychological care.
Dain is the first company in Korea to introduce EAP in 2005 and established the Korean standard. It has provided professional mental health management services to approximately 130,000 people across about 2,900 domestic companies.
Jungshin Park, CEO of Nudge Healthcare, stated, “This acquisition of Dain marks the starting point for actively expanding our B2B business centered on EAP services.”
