‘I Am Solo’ Season 23 Jeongsuk Caught in Past Controversy
Miss Korea Alum Suspected of Scam in Arranged Meeting
Production Team “Will Clarify Position After Verification”
Jungsook, a contestant on the 23rd season of the dating reality show "I am SOLO" (hereafter "I am Solo"), has been embroiled in allegations that she committed theft under the pretense of prostitution in the past.
On the 31st, as these allegations spread mainly through various online communities, the production team stated, "We will confirm the controversy after speaking with her and then release a statement."
On the 30th, during the broadcast of "I am Solo" season 23, Jungsook introduced herself as a "human beagle" and said she participated in the 2010 Gwangju-Jeonnam Miss Korea preliminaries, where she won a popularity award.
However, immediately after the broadcast, suspicions arose online that Jungsook was a thief who disguised herself as a prostitute in 2011. It was reported in the media that Park Mo (then 22 years old), a former Miss Korea contestant, stole 3 million won by agreeing to a transactional meeting with a man, then stealing money while he was showering and fleeing. The suspicion is that Park Mo is actually Jungsook from season 23.

Netizens raised these suspicions by pointing out that the stock photo used in the news report and the images of Jungsook participating in the Miss Korea preliminaries are identical. One netizen claimed, "The participant number and name from the Miss Korea preliminary contest in that region also match," adding, "It is definitely the same person."
As attention focuses on whether Jungsook from season 23 is indeed the same Miss Korea contestant thief, the response from the "I am Solo" team is also being closely watched.
Meanwhile, it is known that Jungsook from season 23 also participated in TV Chosun's audition program "Tomorrow is Miss Trot" aired in 2019. At that time, she introduced herself as a "human dopamine hunting gale, former nurse."
