The '2024 Yeongju Market Day Agricultural Specialties Festival,' where you can experience agricultural specialties infused with the clear energy of Sobaeksan Mountain all in one place, will be held from November 1 to 3 at the Seocheon Munjeong Riverside Park.
Starting on the 26th with the operation of an apple sales booth at the Buseoksa Temple lawn plaza, this festival has received great responses with a variety of programs including agricultural products such as Yeongju apples and Shine Muscat grapes, Nanta performances, a singing contest for tourists, and an apple peeling competition.
From the 1st, Munjeong Riverside Park will welcome tourists with an even wider range of representative Yeongju agricultural specialties, food, performances, and hands-on experiences.
Held under the theme "Selling Sincerity, Buying Devotion," the festival allows producers to directly participate in selling their agricultural products, providing trustworthy and excellent agricultural specialties. In particular, it is expected to greatly contribute not only to increasing farmers' income but also to revitalizing the local economy by promoting various outstanding agricultural specialties produced in Yeongju nationwide.
At the Munjeong Riverside event site, a Farm Farm sales booth will be operated where visitors can purchase agricultural products at reasonable prices through direct transactions with farmers, and promotional videos of agricultural specialties and live festival scenes will be vividly displayed on a large electronic billboard.
On the 1st, the 'Bountiful Harvest Celebration' will feature a flag procession involving townships and agricultural organizations, reminding everyone of the festival's meaning of unity.
At 7 p.m., a celebratory performance will light up the stage with popular singers such as Dynamic Duo, Nataejoo, and Signature, followed by a spectacular fireworks display that will beautifully adorn the opening night. On the 2nd, singer Danbi will perform, and on the 3rd, Park Guyoon will add to the festival's excitement with his performance.
Mayor Park Nam-seo of Yeongju said, "This festival is a special opportunity to directly meet and purchase Yeongju's representative agricultural specialties all in one place," adding, "The Buseoksa apple sales booth will also continue to operate until the 3rd, so we hope visitors enjoy the autumn foliage of Sobaeksan Mountain and the atmosphere of Buseoksa Temple and experience the charm of Yeongju's agricultural specialties by visiting the festival site."
