Hurim Networks announced on the 31st that it received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in the machinery category at the Machinery, Robotics, and Aviation Industry Development Merit Awards hosted by the Korea Machine Industry Promotion Association.
The Development Merit Awards have been implemented since 1984 to boost the pride of contributors and companies that have contributed to the technology development and commercialization of the capital goods industry, and to strengthen national competitiveness through new market development and job creation.
Hurim Networks was recognized for its proprietary high-performance logistics robot, the TETRA-DSV H, and received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award. The TETRA-DSV H can carry loads of up to 600 kg and can move at a speed of 1.2 meters per second while towing items. Hurim Networks developed the TETRA-DSV H to reduce the time required to charge from a fully depleted battery to 80% to about 90 minutes and to operate for up to 15 hours on a single charge.
A Hurim Networks representative said, “This award is the result of recognition of Hurim Networks’ accumulated technological capabilities through continuous development of logistics robots,” adding, “We will use this award as a milestone to further advance logistics robot technology and contribute to the development of domestic industry.”
He continued, “We are participating in global comprehensive machinery exhibitions to discover new customers, focusing on various products in the logistics field such as logistics robots and unmanned logistics systems, and plan to actively carry out sales activities through this,” adding, “Based on differentiated logistics robot technology, we will take the lead in the smart factory and factory automation markets.”
Hurim Networks participated in the ‘2024 Asia Machinery & Manufacturing Industry Exhibition (AMXPO 2024)’ starting on the 30th of this month, unveiling the TETRA-DSV H and the latest unmanned logistics system for the first time. This logistics system combines the TETRA-DSV with a conveyor belt. Since it automatically connects logistics between processes without separate rails or devices, it offers the advantage of flexible process operation suitable for small-lot, multi-product production.
