The Japanese remake, "Nevertheless the shapes of love," is directed by Ryutaro Nakagawa, a director recognized at prestigious film festivals, and stars popular Japanese actor Ryusei Yokohama.

The remake is based on the Naver Webtoon "Nevertheless (Jeong Seo)" and the JTBC drama of the same name. The webtoon depicts the realistic romantic experiences of young people attending an art university, gaining popularity for its delicate artwork and charming characters. Through Naver Webtoon's global service, it has been serialized in English, Japanese, Thai, and other languages, accumulating a global total of 175 million views.

The Korean drama "Nevertheless," adapted from the webtoon, was co-produced by StudioN and Studio SLL and released in 2021 on JTBC and Netflix. On Netflix, it ranked in the weekly top 10 (series) in 33 regions.

Kwon Mikyung, CEO of StudioN, said, "We are very excited to present a webtoon that resonated with many in their 20s and 30s as a drama reflecting Japanese sensibilities and culture. We will strengthen our global content production capabilities through collaboration with domestic and international production companies and contribute to expanding the base of webtoon intellectual property (IP)."

Meanwhile, StudioN received favorable reviews from Japanese producers and viewers last year by remaking the Japanese novel-based film "Smartphone wo Otoshita Dake Nanoni" into a Korean movie. This year, the Naver Webtoon-based animations "True Beauty" and "The Eight Show," as well as the tvN drama "Jeongnyeon-i," have gained popularity, demonstrating the competitiveness of webtoon-based video production. StudioN is also producing a series animation of the Naver Webtoon "Gosu" in collaboration with Japan's Toei Animation.
